Model's Perspective - by Jamie Stephenson
I am a model that has worked with Andy, the photographer for Malephoto. The experience I had whilst working with him was indeed a good one. I was always told that my boundaries would never be crossed and that the photos taken would be for my own personal use and if I wanted, would be put onto his webpage for other agents that were seeking young males to model for them.
As with most people that first start out wanting to become a model, I began with amateur work and the first time is always very nerve wracking which of course Andy is aware of. On my first meeting with him he was very down to earth and treated you like he had known you for a long time. He asked me questions about myself about my hobbies things I liked to do and also asked if I had any other career as some models work a different job and use modelling as a hobby.
When it came to the type of pictures I was going to shoot that day he asked me what I felt comfortable doing and when I told him of the selection of pictures that would be suitable for others to view he told me I should only do the type of poses that I feel comfortable with him taking pictures of. When I was in front of the camera he could see I was still very nervous but he kept me talking and having a good laugh along the way he showed me how to stand and when to turn so I wouldn’t be standing there dazed and confused. Andy I must say is a very professional photographer who takes your photo in a unique way so that you will look your very best.On my first meeting with him he was very down to earth and treated you like he had known you for a long time.
The photoshoot usually lasts for about 2 hours depending on how many types of clothes you want to model in but the 2 hours feels like about 2 minutes because of the way Andy is with you, by making you feel very relaxed and comfortable in your surroundings.
At the end of the shoot I gave him my address and he said he would send the free photo CD off within a day or two, and literally 2 days later I received my photo CD in the post. Now if you wish to have a selection of your pictures on the Malephoto website to promote your photos, Andy will ask you to pick out a selection of the pictures on the CD that YOU want to go on his website and if when you see your pictures on the site and you don’t like the look of one of them get in contact with him and he will remove it and replace it with another one of your choice which is what I requested. My main perspective of Andy and Malephoto is that he is very much down to earth, professional and very efficient in the job that he does. The service that he gives you is 100% and the quality of the photos are also 100%. To be truthful I am very glad that I did my first photo shoot with Andy because of the way he made me feel at ease and relaxed, enabling me to do some very good poses and bring out some excellent pictures.
